Semana 60 - Agosto 2015

Semana 60 - Agosto 2015
Taco Count for the Week:  4
Total Taco Count:  605.5

OKAY.
I have so much that I want to say!!!
This week has been awesome=)

It has also been so ridiculously crazy HOT!
There was one morning that we left the house early because our day was FULL of appointments.
That´s always the best.

Well, ALL of the appointments fell through in the morning.
We spent a good four hours walking around in the sun.
The worst part is that the day before my umbrella broke,
and the week before I ran out of sunscreen.

I took a picture of the sky because it just really could not have been worse.

Not a cloud in the sky.

I was basically walking in Cancer. haha

Here is the picture to prove it.
that line was not there before.

With it getting so hot that also means that we are getting closer to hurricanes.
It´s been almost a year since Hurricane Olid hit Los Cabos.
Everyone is a little nervous but we are learning prepardness=)

In other big and exciting news...

TRANSFERS!!!
Is it just me or did this transfer fly by?!

Well I finished my two glorious weeks as District Leader.
It was fun while it lasted=)

I honestly feel like President turned the whole mission upside down!
It is a lot more exciting for me because now that I am an "oldie" I know a lot of the missionaries.
That means transfers are a little more interesting=)

ANYWAY...
Hermana Mejia left to Culiacan (I totally called it)
It was really difficult saying goodbye to her=(
It always is.
I think I just get really attached to my comps.

But HERMANA CASTILLO is here with me now=)
She´s been on the mission about 4.5 months now.
She is just the cutest thing ever!!
She is from Puebla.
I told her yesterday that I think she is the Mexican me.
She reminds me of myself in so many ways.
The way she talks.
The way she eats.
Even the way she picks stuff up.
She is my Mexican Mirror.
=)

Don´t make fun of my hair-do we came running to the airport with the "top down" and I never made it in front of a mirror before she got here.

AAAAND the most exciting of all=)
I have been called to be the "Líder Capacitadora"
We called it Sister Training Leader in the MTC.
I am in charge of all the sisters in the zone.
I get to go on exchanges and I have to make sure they are being obedient and their house is clean and all that good stuff!

I am super excited for the transfers=)

The weirdest part is that I am pretty sure these were my last transfers.
The odds that I will be changed again are very slim =(

At the beginning of the mission I remember being overwhelmed
at the idea of all the possibilities.
Now that I am getting closer I can almost see how things are going to end.

I am ready to get down to work and make these last 3 months the best of the entire mission!!

Yesterday the Elders had a baptism and I think it was one of my favorites=)
He is a youngin,´ he is 14 years old.
But, he is the most dedicated youth I have ever met!
It started with Sundays.
He would always get there about an hour early to help clean and set up.
Then he would go and sit and the steps outside and wait for the Elders to get there to help him with his tie.
isn´t that adorable?

Then we heard this story...

Seminary started about two weeks ago.
He was really excited to start attending!
It starts at 5:30 in the morning.
Well what he does is wakes up extra early to get ready because he walks about 4 miles to get to seminary.
WOW.
Then we found out that he doesn´t even have an alarm clock.
He told us when he wakes up and looks outside and if it´s still realllly dark, he goes back to sleep.
He judges the time based on the light.
He is so worried about being late that he normally get´s there about half an hour earlier than he should.

I had a few minutes to talk to him before his baptism.
He was dressed in all white and sitting thinking.
I could see his mind was racing so we sat to give him some words of encouragement.
The things that he shared with us were so sincere and true.
It came straight from his heart.

The service was really beautiful!

I love you all=)

con mucho amor,
Hermana Robinson
