Semana 33 - Febrero 2015

Semana 33 - Febrero 2015
Taco Count for the Week:  6
Total Taco Count:  368

Okay I am just going to climb down from cloud 9 real quick and
let you know how I am doing=)

This week was in...creeedible!!
It was the most successful week I have had in the mission.
HANDS DOWN!

I would like to share a few of the experiences I had=)

We had so much help from the members! That made the biggest
difference, we were running from appointment to appointment every day!
But my favorite day in particular was Saturday!
This day we had a lot of plans to teach the Plan of Salvation.
This lesson is one of the hardest lessons to teach, for me.
This lesson covers a LOT of doctrine! and depending
on you as a missionary and depending on those you are teaching,
there are about a million different ways to teach it.

We started in the morning with one of our investigators that is going to be baptized this coming Saturday=)=)
The spirit was so strong in the lesson. As she asked us more and more questions, I loved watching the look in her eyes as we responded!
The words, the scriptures, all of the answers that she was looking for just flowed through our mouths!
100 percent the spirit=)

Later, we went to eat with a Sister that was baptized about 3 years ago. She has two sons who aren´t members.
The older son is always there when we eat and likes to listen, too.
We finished eating and began to share the lesson.
We taught COMPLETELY different!
We had the plan laid out in front of him.
We explained everything and he had ALL of his attention
glued to the plan!
His eyes would start at the beginning and follow all the way to the end... and stayed glued there for a while.
Then they moved to the beginning and did it all over again!
As we were finishing the lesson and as my companion was testifying
I could feel the spirit tingling through my whole body!
I knew this was his time
and that we needed to invite him to be baptized.
He was hesitant at the beginning and found himself
examining the plan again.
He looked up to us with a very serious look on his face,
but with so much light in his eyes
and shook his head and said
"sí."

The last lesson was with a family that we have been teaching=)
I love this little family with all my heart!!
We focused this lesson more on our life on earth and the Atonement.
They were hanging on every word that we said!
There process has been difficult... and they are passing through
a lot of difficulties.
But I know this was exactly what the needed=)

Sunday came and it was the greatest miracle of all!!
We broke our personal record of investigators in sacrament meeting=)
I can´t even tell you how amazing I felt!!

At the end of the meeting one of our investigators came up to us.
He had a baptism date but fell through...
he has struggled dropping some of the customs he has in his life.
He told us he didn´t want to be baptized because he didn´t feel ready.
We made a big decision as missionaries to only be there to
help him receive a testimony.
We hardly teach him. His conversion process has been completely
through the Book of Mormon.
He told us,
"I'm ready to be a member of the Church.
I want to be baptized."

We have everything set up=) His baptism will be in March=)

This week I have learned a lot about the Plan of Salvation, the plan that God has for us as His children.
If you know me, you know I´m not a big fan of making decisions.
But that´s exactly what this life is, it´s a time to grow
and to use the agency He gave us,
to make the decisions that are going to help us go home.
We don´t know what the future has in store for us.
But I know that God loves us and has given us the Gospel to guide us!

My time is getting short...
So I need to run.

But remember how much I love all of you!!

P.S. We had a free day in the mission and so we had lots of activities all day long!
We played soccer, basketball, and volleyball in the morning... But we didn´t go=(
We went bowling with President in the afternoon! (I won=)) (the trick is in the skirt)

Then ended the day seeing
MEET THE MORMONS
with piiiizzzaaa!!!=)

It was an awesome day=)

Oh oh oh!! and we found a little restaurant that had GORDITAS REALES!!
it´s my favorite food in México=)

My family away from home went to D.F. and brought us back fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts=)

Semana 32 - Febrero 2015

Semana 32 - Febrero 2015
Taco Count for the Week:  11
Total Taco Count:  362

Editor's Note:  This is what I received in way of an update.  I was
thrilled to see Paige was getting the first rest since May 28th.  :)
No "official" update....but I'm sure we can
cut her slack for that and enjoy the fun pictures.

"I am on early today because we have a
free day in the mission!!
Wahoo!!
We broke the record as a zone for
number of baptisms in one month and
President promised us a full day free!!

We can see movies and go to the beach
and a bunch of other stuff that
normally isn't permitted!

We have a bunch of activities planned so I will
be doing that the rest of the day=)"

Con Amor!

Semana 31 - Febrero 2015

Semana 31 - Febrero 2015
Taco Count for the Week:  7
Total Taco Count:  351

So this week is going to be short and sweet=)
just like the mission.

I can´t even tell you how much I already love my new companion!!!
She reminds me SOO much of... me!!
She is my long lost twin=)

Everyone thinks we are related not JUST because we look alike,
but everytime we go to talk, we start saying the same thing!
Plus, she is a Lake Powell nut like me so that makes me happy=)

There were definitely a lot of interesting things that happened this week.
good and bad...

We had two of our baptisms fall through for this coming week=(
It hard to see so many people come so far and then in just one day everything completely changes.

But we were able to find a new family=) They are all amazing! They come to church as a family and say there favorite part is when they kneel and pray as a family!
The family is so important to our Heavenly Father! He has given us so many ways to strengthen the family!
Family prayer is just one example, we also have the counsel of family home evenings=)

I told you it would be short and sweet!
gotta run=)

Semana 30 - Enero/Febrero 2015

Semana 30 - Enero/Febrero 2015
Taco Count for the Week:  34  (Wow!  Don't Judge...
It was a week FULL of tacos)
Total Taco Count:  344

We had transfers this week!!=)
Hermana Inisetra was sent to a different ward but she is still here in Culiacan so I will be able to see her=)

My new companions name is Hermana Christensen!
Everyone only has amazing things to say about her!
She is my first non-Mexican companion.  She is from Draper and all
the stories are true!
She is awesome... from what little time we have had together.

Yesterday while I was in the offices waiting for Hermana Christensen we had about two hours to kill.
Hermana Iniestra recommended that we have interviews!
It was actually a really great idea=) Interviews with President are always so uplifting=)

The last week in transfers are always a little different.
But H. Iniestra was determined to leave everything in order when she left, so that`s exactly what we did!
The best part of the week was when we recieved a message early Thursday morning.
We woke up and H. Iniestra started screaming because one of our investgators was going to be home from D.F.
and wanted us to prepare everything for his baptism. We had his interview and programmed everything for his baptism on Saturday

We had another family that was baptized in the ward as well=)
There was SO many people in the baptism and most of the people had to wait outside...

It was really hard to get pictures because everyone was trying to take photos at the same time.
These are what little pictures I have of all of us together=)

I am really anxious for the new transfer! We have a lot of new
goals for the area!
So many of our investigators are progressing and are total angels!
I am seriously so blessed to be in this area and serving in this ward.
These people mean the world to me!!
I know the time is so ridiculously short on a mission. I feel it every day.
But I am working in the way that I hope will make my Heavenly Father proud.

President and I talked a lot about what it really means to be a
representative of Jesus Christ.
It´s not an easy task! In any way, shape, or form.
But it changes you completely!

He is the greatest example that we have, and we have made the decision to follow Him.

I love you all so much and thank you for all the support I feel from each of you!

con amor,
Hermana Robinson
