"This is one of those pictures worth a million words=)
We have a spot that we always have to wait for the bus.
(Oh right, it´s called bus stop)
It always makes me so happy that there is a HUGE Mexican flag=)
SO... Today was such an amazing day =) That I just felt like singing!
I sang at the top of my lungs the hymn "Bandera de Sión"
It was one of those moments with my comp that just make me happy=)
We have had a lot of those this week=)"

Okay....onto the blog:

I Love Hermana Castillo
I Love San Jose
I Love Mexico
I Love the mission!!!!

This week has been INCREDIBLE!!!!
I can´t even explain why.
I am just so happy!

Okay I think part of the reason is for Hermana Ramirez!!
I got a call late last night.
It was about 10:20 and I was brushing my teeth.
Someone called and I could see the number was from Mexico City.
I walked away because I wasn´t going to answer...
But couldn´t fight the curiosity.
I answered and heard a familiar voice.
She told me she was Hermana Ramirez!
I tried to swallow all the toothpaste in my mouth and asked
which Hermana Ramirez.
(I know a million)
She responded and said "SU MAMÁ"
I seriously fell to the floor screaming!!

MY MOM!!! my first comp!!
The one that taught me all I know!!!=)
She is here in San Jose on her Honeymoon and wanted me to meet her husband!

We got together quickly and went to lunch=) I was bubbling the whole time!
I couldn´t even sleep last night because of how excited I was to see her!

We also had our MULTIZONA this week.
It was the last one I will have in my mission=(
I LOVED what the assistants shared with us.
It was SO spiritual=)

To go to the multizona we had to get up at 3:30..............
We got home super late too.
But the road trip was fun with the whole zone=)
And we got some awesome pictures as the sun was setting=)

Saturday President and Hermana Velez came to visit our investigators!
I love it when President teaches!
It is always such a blessing when he come with us.
We went with the family that I was talking about last week.
17 year old girl.
We taught the whole family and I thought president would go for the Plan of Salvation or something like that.
Seeing as we were talking about her mom who just passed away.
But nooooo.
He taught the Word of Wisdom.
But the spirit was so strong!
I´m not sure how he does it=)
But he teaches with such power!

Earlier in the week we went to visit the same 17 year old!
We decided that we needed to start teaching her "husband" too.
So we had our first lesson with him.
We planned on teaching the restauration, but quickly found out he is atheist.

I can´t even explain how much I LOVE teaching atheists.
Mexico is a very religious country.
I cherish the few opportunities I have had to teach someone
that doesn´t believe in God.
Because they are experiences beyond anything that you could ever explain.

We ended out just teaching that God is our Heavenly Father.
Everything went normal until the very end of the lesson.
We asked him to say the last prayer.
The four of us knelt down in prayer and listened=)
He mostly asked for his wife and his soon to come baby.
But he did it with such love.

He finished the prayer and we all just sat there in silence for awhile.

My comp has always told me that she loves teaching with me but her favorite part is when I testify!
Testifying has always my favorite part of the lesson.
I felt strongly that I needed to share my testimony.
I honestly don´t even remeber what I said...
But the spirit filled the room instantly!!
They both had tears in their eyes=)
I testified of what they were feeling and testified of our Father in Heaven.

When we got home that night I was reading my Patriarchal Blessing,
It talks about how my testimony will be one of my strongest tools in this life.
I love little moments like that=)
Knowing that I am using the tools He has given me for good=)

I am happy here.
It´s a different kind of happy=)

Sending my love

Semana 63 - Septiembre 2015

Semana 63 - Septiembre 2015
Taco Count for the week:  7
Total Taco Count:  630.50
Days Remaining:  64

Another week down.

Things have been kind of hectic this week with some of the sisters in the zone.
One of them got sick.
Really sick.
Saturday I felt really weird and told my comp that we had to go visit the sisters.
We followed the prompting and got on the bus and left.

We got there and when they came out you could tell they were both crying.
They let us in and we got talking.
The sick missionary told us that she had just gotten off the
phone with President.
She will be going home this week.
She needs a pretty serious operation and it´s better that she is home.

Even though it is the best option she was really sad.
We were able to help them both and spend some good time with them.

I was so grateful for the impression that I received.
I don´t think we could have arrived in a better moment.
It helped me see how God really does look out for His daughters=)

There will be some interesting changes this week and I still need to figure out how we are going to do everything,
But I know it will all turn out fine=)

A few weeks ago I talked about how we were finding mil ocho mil people to teach.
Well, right after we get teaching them something huge happens and we can´t teach them anymore.
So we keep looking for new people to teach=)

I am super lucky to have the President that I have.
I can´t even express how much he has helped me this week!
He and his wife are coming out on Saturday to spend the day with us=)
I can´t wait!

We are teaching a 17 year old girl.
We contacted her whole family my first week here.
I can´t even tell you how much I love her!!
From the day that I met her until now I have been through so much with her.
After two weeks from meeting her... Her mom passed away.
We showed up an hour after she died.
I feel like I lived it with her.
This week we were with her when she found out she is pregnant.
She moved out of her house and is living in the smallest saddest little room buried in the mountains.

She has been through so much in these past few months.
She was crying thanking us one day saying how she knew that it was true.
How she feels the spirit when we talk to her.
How she knows that we were sent by God at the exact time that she needed it.
Her progress will be difficult!
But her desire to learn and grow in the gospel is inspiring.
We have started teaching her boyfriend too. =)

I have got to run!
We are going to have a little party for the sister that is going home=)

Con mucho AMOR,
Hermana Robinson

Semana 62 - Setiembre 2015

Semana 62 - Setiembre 2015
Taco Count for the Week:  6
Total Taco Count:  623.50
Days Remaining:  72

It has been another great week In San Jose!!
We had a few challenges...
BUT NOTHING GETS US DOWN!

I want to share my favorite part of the week.
It was yesterday.

I am so lucky that I am in Mexico right now!
We had the opportunity to go to the Rededication of the Mexico City Temple!!!!

IT. WAS. INCREDIBLE!
It was the closest thing to the temple that I have had in what seems like too long.

Saturday was the cultural celebration=)
It made me so crazy proud to be here in Mexico.
I love this country.
These people.
And everything else included!

I learned SO much.
Little things that I had never really paid attention to.

Then Sunday we went to the rededication.
We were going to go the the 8:00 session... So we left at 6. to get there early.
It was POURING all morning and so the roads turned into rivers.
We didn´t make it on time=(
We decided to wait till the 11:00 session so we went exploring to see what we could find in San Lucas.

We went to the Marina and everything was FLOODED.
I have never seen so much water before.
We got stuck.
The water got so high that we couldn´t pass in the car.
There were parts that people were trying to pass by walking and the water was up to their hips!
One guy even got taken away by the current and ended up in the ocean.
Don´t worry, he was fine.

It was just one of those crazy moments!

Then we went to the rededication=)=)=)

For the past few months I have had a question.
I have always wondered but accepted that maybe I just wasn´t suppose to know.

Well I got my answer yesterday.
Elder Holland was talking...
I know... he is just incredible=)

He shared how he had the same question in his life.
That he had always wondered!
Then he gave me my answer.
So clearly and profoundly!

The spirit was so strong from the second we walked in the doors from the moment we left=)
I will never forget it!

After in ALL the lessons that we had... WOW!
They were all so powerful=)
I love coming from a spiritual high and then teaching.

With all the challenges that we had this week, it was a great way to start a new week!

Love you all!

Semana 61 - Agosto/Setiembre 2015

Semana 61 - Agosto/Setiembre 2015
Taco Count for the Week:  12
Total Taco Count:  617.50
Days Until Mission Ends:  79

WEEK OF MIRACLES!!
It almost makes me sad that things have been so rocky this last transfer.
I will be honest, I feel like all my excitement left.
I was constantly hearing how nobody would progress here.
I don´t blame my companion.
But, I do know that being two "newbies" is what this area needed.
I am still getting to know everyone and, well, my comp even more so.

Our excitement has been ridiculous this week!!
AND WE HAVE FOUND SOOOO MANY ESCOGIDOS!!=)
I almost didn´t believe it.

Let me share some experiences=)

We stopped by one house because we had an appointment, it was kind of weird.
She came and and greeted us and opened the fence.

they live in a "territory" and the family all builds a house and they all live together like a big happy family, but with different houses.

We were expecting to have the lesson with her but then she left to her house, walked in, and shut the door.
Okay.
We waited kind of confused but then out came her sister in law.
With 3 chairs!!

We sat down and started the lesson.
OH MY GOSH!!
I taught her once when I first got here and everything was normal.
I asked what she remember from the last appointment...
That´s when everything came out.

She told us that she has been praying every single night to know if it´s true.
She has been looking for her answer ever since this day.
One of her friends from the University is Mormon and has been talking with her.

She told us how she wants to feel her answer.
She wants it to be true.
=)

I felt prompted to pull out a Book of Mormon.
That is literally all I did.
Tears filled her eyes.
She looked at me and said...
"You have that book?!"

I was a little confused.
She told us how much she LOVES the Book of Mormon.
She started sharing the story about Joseph Smith and the golden plates and the pioneers and how courageous and valient the whole story is.
I asked her how she knew all of this.
She explained that before she met with missionaries and they taught her
many things.
She always studied and read her Book of Mormon.
But it was destroyed in the hurricane because she lost her house
 and then never knew.

She was so happy to recieve a Book of Mormon again.
We explained that in reading this book she would be able to find her response=)

Before she said she never had the desire that she has right now.
Her dad recently died.
She wants to be with him again.
She wants her Eternal Family.

Earlier in the week we met a girl in the store.
Haha, I know right...
We put an appointment and went later in the week.
We got there and nobody answered so we left.
Then we went to another house and they didn´t answer either.
So... we went back!
Nothing.
We left... but felt we had to go back.
We walked by and her dad was outside. =)=)=)
We told him to go and get her!

She was "sleeping"
We sat down and she got right down to business.
She asked us,
"So what do you guys believe, anyways?"

We explained and asked what other questions she had.
She is one confused girl.
She brought out just about every question in the book.

As my comp and I listened we just smiled!
We had the answers to all the questions that she was asking.
She explained that she was confused too because nobody would answer her.
Or they would just tell her a scripture and yeah, that was it.

We took the time to explain the Plan of Salvation.
WOW!!
The spirit was so beautiful=)
I have never had a lesson flow so smoothly!

My favorite part of the whole lesson was her prayer at the end.
I just remember her saying,
"Father, thank you for sending the sisters to answers my question in a way so simple and easy to understand.
I don´t feel so confused anymore."
There is no way to explain how I felt in that moment.

I could share another million stories but I am out of time.

Hermana Castillo and I are growing a lot.
She pushes me.
I LOVE IT.
I push her too...
SHE LOVES IT
we are growing like crazy=)

Sending my love from San Jose del Cabo BCS
